Hello,

I noticed that when I log in and attempt to access Censys Search, I am automatically redirected to the Censys Platform. As a result, I am unable to access the legacy search interface.

Could you please clarify if there is still a way to access the legacy search?

Additionally, with Censys Search being deprecated after March 31st, I wanted to confirm whether this deprecation also applies to the v2 APIs, or if only the legacy search interface will be affected.

Also is threat hunting capability added?

Hey again, some more info to answer your other questions:

  • Censys Legacy Search is being deprecated after March 31, 2025 for Free users
    • After that date, pre-existing Free users on Legacy Search will only have access to the new Censys Platform and will not be able to use Legacy Search
  • Current Free users of Legacy Search do not have access to v2 APIs
    • Similarly, Free users on the Censys Platform do not have access to new Platform APIs
  • v2 APIs will remain available to Legacy Search Enterprise and Solo and Teams users in accordance with their contracts
  • Starter users and Enterprise users on the Censys Platform will have access to new Platform APIs
  • The threat hunting module on the Platform will be available to customers on the Enterprise tier only

I followed up with our team and as your Free account was created after February 20, 2025, it is unable to access Legacy Search. Please use Platform instead. If you have any questions about using the Platform, I’m happy to answer. Thanks!

I really think removing the legacy search will be a really bad move. Reducing the searches would have been a much better alternative. Fofa will fill this space very soon, which is developed by a  chinese company.
