Introduction to your Censys Community Manager

Hey there! My name is Matt Korovesis and I am the Technical Community and Education Manager at Censys. I’ve worked in the security world for a little under 10 years. I’m very passionate about providing our users with the resources they need in order to succeed with using Censys tools--that includes everything from short product videos to long-form lessons and instructor-led training.Apart from all that work stuff, I’m very interested in organic farming. My partner and I have a small organic farm that we run where we grow a lot of veggies, herbs, flowers, and...duck eggs. You can see a little slice of our farm from early summer in the pic below!My favorite things to grow are pumpkins, peppers, and potatoes. If you have a favorite garden veggie that you like to cultivate, I’d love to hear about it! You can also ask me just about anything about Censys and our lovely Community.

Hey from an internal IT Nerd

Hey there! My name is Stephanie Gruss and I am a Senior IT Systems Analyst at Censys. I’ve worked in the security world for about 5 years and in internal IT support for 15 years. I’m deeply invested in the success of others, because when I fix your problem, we all win! This also translates into being curious about many aspects of cybersecurity and gaining a deeper understanding of how both my colleagues and our customers use our tools and other technologies. Outside of work, and also sometimes during meetings, I spend a lot of time doing random crafts. In the past year I have picked up stained glass and sublimation. Crochet, knitting, and spinning yarn will always be my mainstay crafts though. If you have a crafty question, feel free to ask! And, if you have a tech issue - turn it off and then on again.

Censys Founder Intro!

Hi Everyone!Welcome to the Censys Community! I’m one of Censys’ founders and lead our technical strategy. I am a researcher at heart, who became obsessed with how we could improve security through better data and visibility. I was part of the team that created ZMap and Censys at the University of Michigan and since then have been interested in figuring out how to best find, contextualize, and understand the relationships between all of the pieces of infrastructure that makes up the Internet. Outside of work, I avoid technology at all costs, attempt to take full advantage of living in California, and optimize for finding strange new vegetables, strip mall dives with upsettingly spicy food, and the largest dogs.Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any ideas, feedback, questions about our data or plans as a company, or simply strange things you’ve found on the Internet that would make me smile (or grimace?)!
